Bladensburg - A graveside service for Albert N. Smith, 73 of Bladensburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Homer Cemetery with Dave Fowls officiating.
Albert died July 31, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 27, 1937, in Webbville, KY to the late Don L. and Carrie (Music) Smith.
He retired from Local #37, Columbus, Ohio after 34 years of elevator service.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Albert N. and Lyda Smith, II of Centerburg; daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and Herb Raymond of Johnstown, Ginger and Edward Devine and Joyce and Robert Sherwood all of Utica; grandchildren, Albert N. Smith, III, R. J. Sherwood, Alysha Smith and Logan Devine; great grandchildren, Kamdyn Smith and Kiersten Smith; brothers, Ralph Smith and Malcolm Smith both of Webbville, KY, Jim Smith of Galloway; sister, Gertrude Gee of Ypsilanti, MI.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandson, Shane McNamara; brothers, Randolph Smith, D. L. Smith; sister, Hazel Porter.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday, August 5 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
