Calling hours for Arthur W. Stiers, 73, of Johnstown will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 3, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

A private family service will follow.

Mr. Stiers passed away March 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1943, in Mount Vernon to the late William H. and Mildred L. (Patton) Stiers.

Art was a DJ at Pioneer Restaurant for 30 years and a member of Utica JC's and PIC (Private Industry Council). He retired from Lucent after 30 years and was a Union Steward. Art worked at National Trails and enjoyed restoring old cars. He loved watching his grandson play football, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved the Rolling Stones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diana H. (Hake) Stiers of Johnstown; son, Danny Stiers of FL; daughter and son-in-law, Valeri and Matt Malone of TX; step-son, Kristofer Draper of Lancaster, step-daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Sean Robson of Johnstown; seven grandchildren, Travis, Drew, Claire, Haley, Adrianna, Micah and Kaleb; brother and sister-in-law, John and Kay Stiers of Alexandria; sister, Mary Miller of Utica; mother-in-law, Geraldine Hake and sister-in-law, Donna Hake, both of Niles; lifelong best friend, Fred (Barbara) Bush of FL; many nieces, nephews and friends.
