Utica - A funeral service for Audrey A. Ransom, 73 of Utica, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2010 at North Side Church of Christ, 4427 Marion Rd. NE, Newark with Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
Audrey died December 2, 2010 at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark. She was born November 27, 1937, in Racine, Wisconsin to the late H. M. and Anna (Zager) Hellwig.
Audrey worked at Hometown Market and loved painting, rocks, crafts and hunting mushrooms.
She is survived by her son, Robert E. Ransom, Jr. of Utica; daughter, Debra Lynn Ransom of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Heather Nicole Ransom, Erin and Justin Whisner; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Wilma Hellwig of Reedsville, Dale and Dorothy Hellwig of Orchard Park, NY; sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita and Charles Valentine of Warsaw, Leona Hellwig of Mount Vernon; special son-in-law, Frank Becher.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Ransom, Sr. who passed away Sept. 6, 1981; daughter, Sharon K. Ransom who passed away Sept. 5, 2010; brothers Ralph and Larry Hellwig
