Barbara Ann Shaw, age 86, of Utica, passed away on December 25, 2024. Barbara was born on March 24, 1938, to the late Harley Orville and Mildred (Turley) West in Columbus, Ohio.

She was a cook for the Central College Home for the Aged Deaf and was a secretary for North Freewill Baptist Church. Barbara was a member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, cooking and sewing.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Harold R. Shaw; children, Harold "Dick" (Barbara J.) Shaw, Jonathan Michael (Lori) Shaw; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy West.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Jane (Will) Massey, Vivian (Larry) Johnson, Violet (Merrill) Loungin; brothers, Orville (Jackie) West, Larry West.

Family will receive friends on January 2, 2025, from 11-12 PM at the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church, 15271 Vance Road, Mt Vernon, where her service will immediately follow at 12 PM with Pastor Gary Thompson officiating. The burial will take place in South Lawn Cemetery.
