Homer - A funeral service for Barbara J. Sowers, 68 of Homer, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Hite officiating. Burial will follow in Homer Cemetery.
Friends may call 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2013 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
Barbara died February 12, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 23, 1944, in Columbus to the late Raymond L. and Dorothy A. (Corbin) Stiles.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Harry Sowers of Utica, Raymond and Lisa Sowers of Johnstown, daughter, Barbara L. Sowers of Summit Station, five grandchildren, Constance Sowers, James M. Matheny II, Benjamin T. Matheny, Danial A. Matheny, Christopher Andrix, brother and sister-in-law, Torry and Trish Stiles of Delmar, FL, sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria Johnson of Columbus, Helen and Butch Simpkins of Pomeroy, Betty and Jack Peterman of Columbus.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Stiles and John Stiles.
