A funeral service for Ben F. "Bubba" Smith, 66 of Utica, will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Frank Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.

Friends may call 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the funeral home.

Ben passed away August 30, 2018 at his sister's residence. He was born November 28, 1951 in Newark to the late Donald F. and Helen E. (Young) Smith.

Bubba retired from ODOT and B & O Railroad.

He is survived by his sister, Faye Weakley, two aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Lobdell.
