Betty K. Brown
October 27, 1922-October 24, 2018

A funeral service for Betty K. Brown, 95 of Mount Vernon, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Thom Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call 1:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Brown passed away October 24, 2018 at Country Court Nursing Center, Mt. Vernon. She was born October 27, 1922 in Dover to the late William Earl and Melva Mae (Ludi) Ferris

Betty attended Beulah United Methodist Church, was a member of Morgan Grange and Knox Co. Ag Museum where she enjoyed rug weaving. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and antiquing. Betty sold Emmons Jewelry for 35 years and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Stella Brown of Burkburnett, TX, Doran Brown of Mt. Vernon, Tyler and Michelle Brown of Mt. Vernon; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca and Gary Hines of Homosassa, FL, Kimberly and Carl Ward of Utica; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Duane "Red" Ferris.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane K. Brown, who passed away April 18, 2017; granddaughter, Tara Brown; brother, James Ferris .
