A funeral service for Betty J. Bruce, 94 of Granville, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at Highwater Congregational UCC, 1213 Dutch Lane Rd., Newark with Rev. Scott Schieber officiating. Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00-12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.
Mrs. Bruce passed away on September 8, 2016 at Kendal at Granville. She was born April 13, 1922, in Walnut Twp, Fairfleld Co. to the late Edward and Bertha (Ellinger) Klump.
Betty was a member of Highwater Congregational UCC and Eastern Star, Fredonia.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Jenifer Bruce, Thomas and Barb Bruce all of Granville, grandchildren, Lenae (Mark) Marston, Deborah (Doug) Phillips, Bradd Bruce, Jarrod (Lindsay) Bruce, Mark (Ericka) Bruce, 14 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Royal C. Bruce who passed away April 22, 2012; granddaughter, Kristi; three sisters, Marjorie Klump, Eva Turkenton and Dorothy Eagle.
