Utica - A funeral service for Betty D. Overturf, 91 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Utica United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Newland officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
Betty died November 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 5, 1920, in Utica to the late Charles and Lulu (Sterrett) Davison.
She was a member of Utica United Methodist Church and 1938 Utica High School graduate. Betty was co-owner of Utica Hardware with her husband, Homer and she loved playing euchre.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Homer C. Overturf of Utica; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and John Riedel of Angleton, TX, Judy and Jerry Hull of Utica; four grandchildren, Becky (Mike) Carpenter of Powell, Carol (Arthur) Mancinas of San Antonio, TX, Matt Riedel of Dardanielle, AR, Beth Reidel of Tyler, TX; three great grandchildren; sister, Grace Azbell of Newark.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Geneva Rees.
