Betty Jane Pierpont

A Celebration of Life for Betty Jane Pierpont, 87, of Utica will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 25, 2022, at Utica Church of Christ, with Pastor Doug Swan officiating.  A private burial will be held at South Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Betty passed away January 20, 2022, at her residence. She was born October 4, 1934, in Newark, to the late Charles R. and Dorothy (McGinnis) Guisinger

She is survived by her daughter, Rene Pierpont; son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Lisa Pierpont; grandchildren, Joshua (Brittany) Straley, Brendan (Melissa) Straley, and Meredith and Owen Pierpont; great-grandchildren, Rhyan, Hanna, Bo, Collin, and Joey Straley; sisters-in-law, Dixie Guisinger and Jo Ann Walton; siblings, Chuck (Debbie) Guisinger, Bonnie Jo Wilson, and Corky (John) Gibson; brother-in-law, John (Nancy) Pierpont, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Pierpont; stepmom, Frances Guisinger; brother, Donald Guisinger, and brothers -in-law, John Walton and Leslie "Red" Pierpont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd. SE., Newark, Oh 43055.
