We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Billy J. Bero on Saturday, June 8, 2024, who was born on November 22, 1957, in Newark, Ohio. He was 66. He resided in Columbus, Ohio.

Billy was the beloved son of George Bero and Beverly McGovern. He is survived by his three children, Amber Smith, Ashley Bero (Thomas Neer), and Michael Bero. Billy was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren. He is also survived by two Sisters, Kathy Roberts(Rick), Georgina Marcum(Ray), and two brothers, Mark Bero and Steve Bero(Jeanne). He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Georgia Marcum(Dustin), Dillon Marcum(Brianna), Jessica Binkley (Chris), Tiffany Bero, & Chad Humberston. He was preceded in death by his Father, George Bero and brother, Kevin Bero.

Billy attended Utica High School and graduated in 1977. He had a passion for enjoying retirement along with spending time with his family and was a very avid sports fan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral service celebrating Billy's life will be held at Brucker & Baker Funeral Home, 34 North Main St., Utica, OH 43080 at 11a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024, officiated by Doug Swan. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 5-7pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
