A funeral service for Bruce G. Butcher, 95 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mr. Butcher passed away April 10, 2017 at Country Court Nursing Center, Mount Vernon. He was born October 15, 1921, in Mount Vernon to the late Leroy C. and Ruth A. (Lepley) Butcher.

Bruce retired from Chattanooga Glass Co. and loved watching his grandsons play baseball. He was a part-time farmer and enjoyed raising cattle.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Dave Butcher, Mike Butcher, Tom and Kathy Butcher; grandchildren, Jason (Charlene) Butcher, Nathan (Stacey) Butcher, Chelsea Ann Butcher; great-grandchildren, Carson, Abigail, Brandon and Alex Butcher.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Alice R. Butcher who passed away June 24, 2016; grandson, Matthew Butcher; brother, John Butcher; sisters, Genevieve Bechtel, Geraldine Martin.
