Cara Faye Smith, age 83, of Pataskala, passed away on December 13, 2024, at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital. Cara was born on February 10, 1941, to the late Morty Basil and Trecia (Trout) Spencer, in Quinwood, WV.

She was a member of the Jersey Women's Club and the Rolling J. Camping Club. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, David Smith, Doug (Linda) Smith; grandchildren, Elise (Kevin), Grant, Ian, Abigail; great grandchildren, Emmersyn, Bennet and Rylee; and special niece, Theresa Lewis.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Varlon Smith; sister, Shirley (John) St. Clair; and brother, David Wayne (Shirley) Spencer.

A graveside service will be held on January 3, 2025, at Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery at 1 PM.
