Carl Edward Gruber Sr, age 64, of Utica, passed away on November 16, 2022.  Carl was born on October 17, 1958, to Bobby Eugene and Carolyn Fern  (Hogle) Gruber, in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

He enjoyed watching World Wrestling Entertainment, Nascar Racing, and NHRA.

Carl is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Gruber; children, Tonya Gruber, Lora Freed, Carl (Amy Gorley) Gruber; granddaughter, April (Gage Smith) Freed; mother, Carolyn Gruber; siblings, Thomas (Olga) Gruber, Michael (Thelma) Gruber, David Gruber, Teresa Gruber; sister-in-law, Barb Gruber; brother-in-law, Steve Larue; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Greg Freed; siblings, Debbie Larue, Catherin Gruber, Melvin Gruber.

There will be a memorial service held on December 3, 2022, at 12 PM, at the Utica Presbyterain Church, with Pastor Terry Holobaugh, officiating.  Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
