Carl E. Ryan, 89, of Utica, died Sunday, August 8, 2021, at his daughter's residence in White Pine, TN. He was born January 2, 1932, in Martinsburg, OH to the late Bertha Irene (Hall) and Dwight Calvin Ryan.
Carl was a Veteran of the U.S Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 38 years with Cooper Energy Services Mt. Vernon. He spent time with the Utica Emergency Squad and was a member of the Licking Lodge #291 F&AM where he was Past Master.
He is survived by his wife, Rowena; children, Dwight (Annita) Ryan, Barbara (Roger) Nethers, David (Jeannie) Ryan, and Patrick (Tracy) Ryan; 10 grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ryan, a grandson Kevin Ryan, brothers Donald Ryan and Robert Ryan and sisters Maxine Robison and Eileen Handwerk.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. The funeral service will be Friday at 12:00 Pm at the Utica Church of Christ, 115 Central Ave., Utica with Pastor Tim Carr officiating. Burial will follow the service in South Lawn Cemetery. A Masonic Service will follow the evening visitation at the funeral home . Military honors will be presented by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
