A Memorial Service for Charles F. Rowley, 77, of Mt. Vernon will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
Charlie passed away on March 20, 2017 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on August 28, 1939 in Knox County to the late Frederick and Elsie M. (Hoover) Rowley.
Charlie worked at Continental Can in Mt. Vernon for 34 years and Owens Corning for 7 years. He loved the outdoors, farming, cutting wood, gardening, hunting, fishing and most of all his family.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Amy Rowley; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Dean Robinson; grandchildren, Charlie (Emily) Rowley, Carter (Erika) Rowley, Calyn (Derek) Posey, Clay Rowley, Eugene Robinson, Michael Hedinger and Bridgette Kunkle; three great-grandchildren; longtime companion, Gloria Branstool; and sisters, Jenny, Barb and Marge.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy J.C. Barnes; brother, John and sisters, Sandy and Martha.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Timothy J.C. Barnes Scholarship Fund at First Knox National Bank.
