Newark- A funeral service for Charles Wilson, 89 of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Father Stephen Metzger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark.

Friends may call 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 25 at the funeral home.

Charles died April 22, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 12, 1924, in Licking County to the late Russell Ray and Anna M. (VanWinkle) Wilson.

He was a WWII Army Veteran, Utica High School graduate, life long farmer, N.F.O. member, past member of Newton Township Zoning Board and was a skilled machinist.

He is survived by his step-children, Bill and Margie Lonzo of Granville, Carolyn and Bill Ross, Margaret Lonzo of Newark, 5 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren, special friends and neighbors Bob and Bev Bevard.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia (Ohler) Lonzo Wilson who passed away September 29, 2008.
