A memorial service for Charlien A. Beightol, 83 of Utica, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Owl Creek Baptist Church, 4044 Owl Creek Rd., Mt. Vernon with Pastor Matthew Brown officiating. A private burial will follow.

Friends may call 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Mrs. Beightol passed away November 11, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 13, 1933, in Falconer, NY to the late Cutler and Ethyl (Howard) Anderson.

Charlien was a member of Owl Creek Baptist Church where she was the music director for many years and was a retired North Fork School Music Teacher. She was a graduate of Falconer, NY High School and Wheaton College where she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority

Charlien was a member of Morgan Grange and the Morgan Grange Quartet that won National Grange Quartet in Portland, Oregon in 1963. She was also a member of Vintage Voices in Granville.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth V. Beightol; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Charles Stafford, Vicki and Robert Newton, Bonnie Beightol; ten grandchildren; Kenneth (Jennifer) Stafford, Christopher (Amber) Stafford, Katelyn Stafford, Kati (Mark) Weber, Marci Newton, Zack (Lindsey) Torrens, Jacob (Madalyn) Torrens, Seth Torrens, David (Taylor) Torrens, Carlien Torrens; nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Ted (Lynn) Beightol, Larry (Brenda) Beightol; sister-in-law, Marilyn Shatzer.
