Clarence A. Kaiser's Obituary
A funeral service for Clarence A. Kaiser age 89, of Mt. Vernon will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow at Owl Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Kaiser joined his maker in paradise on Sunday, June 5th 2016. He was at home and at peace, surrounded by those he loved. Clarence was born May 15, 1927 in Hilliard, OH to Clarence and Helen (Ohnsman) Kaiser.
He was a graduate of Hilliard High School, where he was active in FFA. He had a God given love of farming and a special way with animals that was nurtured by his parents and grandparents.
Clarence and his bride Sarah, along with his mother and father moved to southern Knox county in 1959, where they would continue the family legacy of farming and raise their 4 children. Clarence was a member of the Morgan grange for 72 years, a Royal Arch Mason Ohio, Avery Blue Lodge #493 for 67 years, York Temple Chapter #155 for 66 years, NRA member, and held an American farmer degree. He loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah (Fry) Kaiser of 58 years; son, Tim (Allison) Kaiser of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Judy (Larry) Williams and Mary (James) Jordan both of Mt. Vernon; son, William Kaiser of Midwest City, OK; as well as his 11 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; one step-great-grandson; and one step-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Helen Kaiser; sister, Norma Pickens; infant son, Mark Kaiser; and infant grandson, Matthew Jordan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH, 43050 or the Morgan Grange Hall, 18571 Glenn Rd., Gambier, OH, 43022.
The family would like to thank all those who have been praying for Clarence and the family, and extend a heartfelt thank you to the caretakers from Hospice of Knox County, Knox Community Hospital and Riverside Methodist Hospital.
