Claudia E.
Woodrow
Sep 17, 1955 — Jul 2, 2025
Claudia Ellen Woodrow, lovingly known as "Sis," passed away at The Laurels Nursing Home in Heath, Ohio at the age of 69. Born on September 17, 1955, in Newark, Ohio, Claudia lived a life defined by love, family, and warmth.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Woodrow, her beloved son John Woodrow Jr., and his wife Angela Woodrow. Claudia was a proud and loving grandmother to Lissann (David) Torrens, Ashlee (Philip) Stough, Brittany (Drew) Clanin, and Katlyn Cannon, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dennis, Calhen, and Eli Torrens; Kaisen and Leigha Stough; and Liam and Tenley Clanin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Bertha Loughman, and her sister, Mary Kidd.
Claudia was a woman who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. She found joy in the simple things—sunny days spent on her porch, caring for animals, working in her garden, and traveling to the mountains of Tennessee with her family. Her home was a place of comfort, always filled with good food, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of something baking in the oven. If you knew Claudia, she probably cooked for you—and likely more than once.
Family meant everything to her. Her granddaughters and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She embraced her role as a matriarch with pride, pouring her heart into every dish, every hug, every moment of love and care. She was known for her sass, her sarcasm, and her ability to make you laugh—often when you needed it most.
Claudia's love was unconditional, and her impact immeasurable. She will be missed more than words can express.
Special thank you to Ohio Living Staff (Hospice Care) Arianna and Courtney and Laurels Staff; Gracelyn and Mindy.
Per her wishes, no services will be held. Her family asks that those who knew and loved
Claudia remembers her in their own special way, perhaps on a sunny day, with a cup of coffee on the porch, or a favorite meal shared with loved ones.
