Clifford C. Ridgeway

Newark: A funeral service for Clifford C. Ridgeway, 89 of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave. with Alan Pratt officiating.

Clifford died July 4, 2011 at Selma Markowitz Center/LMH, Newark. He was born September 5, 1921, in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Hugh and Ella (Gorbett) Ridgeway.

He attended Utica Church of Christ, former deacon of First Christian Church Tyler, Texas, WWII Army Veteran, 66 year member Masonic Lodge and Farmers Lodge #153 F&AM Fredonia, 32nd. Degree Mason and a Shriner, member of the Toast Masters Club, he was an independant leasing agent for various Energy Resources for over 40 years.

He is survived by wife M. Maxene (Drake) Ridgeway, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Sherry Ridgeway of Bullard, Texas, daughter and son-in-law, Connie "C.J." and Garland Fleming of Newark, sister Irma Young of Loveland, Colorado, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grand child.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Clifford H. Ridgeway, grandson Russell "Rusty" Ridgeway and brother Ray Ridgeway.

Friends may call 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, July 6 at the Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave. where a Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
