A funeral service for Dana R. Gage, 79, of Utica will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 27, 2017 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 101 E. High St., Mt. Vernon, OH with the Rev. David Kendall-Sperry officiating.
Friends and family may call 2:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica, OH.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at Hazel Wood Cemetery, Colonia, New Jersey with Father Ed Zelley officiating.
Dana passed away August 23, 2017 at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon. He was born June 20, 1938, in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Raymond L. and Ailsa M. (Girvan) Gage.
Dana married Carol Varga Gage, June 10, 1967 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mt. Vernon, OH. He was a U.S. Army veteran service from December 29, 1958 to March 3, 1962. He retired from Tractor Supply Co.
Dana was a member of Utica Sertoma, past member of the Knox Co. Fair Board and was a dedicated volunteer at his church, Escape Zone, Knox Co. Fair and was always there if anyone needed a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol A. (Varga) Gage; sons, Brian (Carson Mills) Gage and Rick (Kenda) Gage; granddaughter, Macey Gage; sister, Linda Rae Covington.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Loren Raymond Gage.
