David Lewis Lonsinger
A memorial service for David Lewis Lonsinger will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Utica United Methodist Church, 626 North St. with Pastor Ken Kelley officiating.
David died unexpectedly at his home in Tampa, FL on October 21, 2013. He was born January 16, 1955, to the late Charles L. and Mary Jane (Crow) Lonsinger and grew up in Utica.
After graduating from Utica High School in 1973, he attended Miami University, earning a bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1977.
David worked for multiple years as a retail manager for J. C. Penney and Lane Bryant. Later in his life, he bacame a financial consultant and planner with Ameriprise Financial Services in Tampa, FL.
David very much enjoyed the ocean and spending time there with his circle of friends in Florida. He was a member of Greenpeace, The Nature Conservancy, and other conservation efforts.
He is survived by his two brothers, Mark D. (Karen) Lonsinger of Charleston, WV, Paul P. Lonsinger of Utica; three nephews, Michael D. (Jocelyn) Lonsinger, Matthew D. (Teresa) Lonsinger and M. Daniel L Lonsinger, all of Charleston, WV; two great-nephews, Devin C. and William M. Lonsinger.
In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Greenpeace, 702 H Street, NW, Suite 300, Washington, D.C. 20001 or The Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203-1600.
