July 23, 1952 - April 8, 2017
A memorial service for David Ransom, 64, of Utica will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Dave Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Ransom passed away on April 8, 2017 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. He was born on July 23, 1952 in Mt. Vernon to Abe and Carolyn L. (Warman) Ransom.
Dave retired from LRE after 40 years. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Eagles, Moose and the Oddfellows. He enjoyed golfing, camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Jacky Ransom; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew (Heather) Ransom; granddaughter, Keyla Ransom; mother, Carolyn Ransom; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Pat Ransom, Doug and Heidi Ransom and Randy and Peg Ransom; sister, Vicki Ransom; many nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Annie.
He is preceded in death by his father, Abe Ransom.
