Deborah Ann Hiles, 62 of Utica passed away on August 31, 2026 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. She was born on December 5, 1963 in Mt. Vernon, OH to Dorothea “Dot” (Richards) and the late Duane E. Jenkins.

Debbie worked at K-Mart as a pharmacy tech for 11 years and over 20 years for Tri Phase Floor Coverings. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and volunteering for the kids lunch program and the Utica Christmas Walk.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, John Hiles; mother, Dorothea “Dot” Jenkins; brothers, Duane (Peggy) Jenkins and Mark (Laura) Jenkins; brother-in-law, Chris (Donna) Hiles; nieces and nephews, Jacki (Todd) Bennett, Mark (Tesia) Jenkins, Brent Jenkins, Dana (Matt) Weigand and Colleen Hiles; great-nephews, Nolan, Chase and Wyatt Bennett; many cousins; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Finlee.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane E. Jenkins; and mother-in-law, Janet Hiles.

The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at the Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave., Utica. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 4, 2026 at the Utica Church of Christ with Pastor Doug Swan officiating. Entombment will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
