Deborah Sue Maharg

A memorial service for Deborah Sue Maharg, 68, of Newark will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Deborah passed away on December 16, 2021 at OSU Medical Center.  She was born on July 21, 1953 in Lancaster to the late James and Betty (Workman) Overton.

Deborah served the community as a registered nurse at Licking Memorial Hospital and Mt. Carmel East for over 40 years.  In her spare time, she loved being with her family and enjoyed finding ways to influence their lives.

She is survived by her sons, Roger and Ryan Maharg; grandchildren, Ripken, Ryleigh and Reece Maharg; brothers, Mark (Tammy) Overton and Bobby Overton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James "Jimmy" Overton, Jr.
