Debra Jeane (Bussey) Masters, age 71, of Utica, Ohio, passed away at Knox Community Hospital Wednesday, April 15, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on February 3, 1955, to the late Elmer Clyde and Elizabeth (Artis) Bussey.

Debra loved everyone she met, she had a propensity for seeing the good in people. Over the years she worked at Tuckerman Optical, Nick’s Pizza, and also taught at Head Start.

She is survived by her soulmate of 43 years, Walter Masters; son, Nathaniel (Shayda) Master; brothers, Larry (Phillys) Bussey and Michael (Linda) Bussey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Emmett Masters.

In keeping with Debra’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
