A funeral service for Dianna Thomas, 81, of Utica will be held at 7pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Utica United Methodist Church, 626 North St., Utica with Pastor Jason Snyder officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4-7pm prior to the service.

Dianna went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2022.  She was born on September 27, 1940 in Newark to the late Grover A. and Rosalie E. (Kitchen) Leasure.

Dianna loved her Cleveland Indians, Ohio State Buckeyes and Neil Diamond singing.  She was a great seamstress and was known for her beef and noodles and mile high peanut butter pies.  Dianna worked at Newton Elementary as the secretary for several years.  Before that she taught drivers education at Utica High School.  She was a 1958 graduate from Utica High School.

She is survived by her children, Tyrone (Kim) Marston, Todd Marston, Tracey (Terry) Pickering and Alan (Erin) Thomas; nine grandchildren, Brittani (Rob) Bentz, Broc (Alexa) Pickering, Brogan Pickering, Heidi (Ryan) Boland, Cody (Alexandra) Marston, Jacqueline (Anthony) Micheli, James Thomas, Alexandra Thomas and Meredith Thomas; great-grandchildren, Emma Huber, Knox Marston, Finley Boland, Trey Bentz, Brooks Bentz, Beckett Pickering, GiGi Micheli and James Micheli.  Also survived by siblings, Sharon (Jerry) Cashdollar, James (Louise) Leasure and Laura Hardman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Thomas; sister, Marcella Flowers, parents, Grover and Rosalie Leasure; and step-father, Harold Lupher.

The family of Dianna especially want to thank the nursing staff at LIcking Memorial Hospital on the second floor West and the Hospice floor for their wonderful care.
