Donna J. Cannon

A private graveside service for Donna J. Cannon, 73, of Utica, will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens with Victor Slutz officiating.

Donna passed away April 17, 2020, at Middleton Senior Living, after a long battle with cancer. She was born December 19, 1946, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to the late Luke and Lola (Dunn) Gordon.

Donna was a graduate of Utica High School, and she married her soul mate Ronald E. Cannon on December 17, 1964.  Through her lifetime she worked at Newark Memorial Gardens, Newark Air Force Base, owned DJ's Rainbow Apparel in Utica before she retired from DCSC.  Donna was a long-standing member of The Ohio Eastern Star and a member of Eden Church of Christ.

Donna's greatest love was her family.  She is survived by her two sons, Heath (Beth) Cannon and Troy (Amy Patrick) Cannon; grandchildren, Johnathan (Mara) Cannon, Samantha (Caiden) Kieber, Ashton Cannon, Katlyn Cannon, and Shelby Patrick; honorary grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Ashton Moore, and Timmy Moore; great-granddaughter, Macey Cannon; Donna Jo Kieber, Landon Kieber, Hunter Brown, and Jaxon Brown; sister, Sue (Steve) Mason, and brother, Jerry Gordon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Cannon.
