April 15, 1923-January 12, 2016
Utica - Calling hours for Dorothy J. Hornsby, 92 of Utica, will be held 12:00-1:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at Utica Presbyterian Church, 9 S. Main St. with the service at 1:00 p.m. with Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hornsby passed away January 12, 2016 at Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born April 15, 1923, in Dayton to the late Carl and Helen (Blake) Francis.
Dorothy was a member of Utica Presbyterian Church, a choir member and former deacon. She was a member of American Legion Post 92 Auxiliary and Utica Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Hornsby of Martinsburg, Rodney and Debra Hornsby of Martinsburg, Kenneth and Betsy Hornsby of Kansas City, KS; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Williams of West Palm Beach, FL.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lester G. Hornsby who passed away February 1, 1999; brother, Richard Francis.
