Dorothy Magers

Utica - A funeral liturgy for Dorothy L. Magers, 71 of Utica, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, 126 N. Main St., Utica with Reverend Stephen A. Metzger as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark.

Dorothy died January 29, 2012 at Medical Center of Newark. She was born June 16, 1940, in Newark to the late Edgar P. and Eunice M. (Fulton) Zigan.

Dorothy was a member of Church of the Nativity Catholic Church and drove a school bus for 44 years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Patrick D. Magers of Utica; sons and daughters-in-law, Denis P. and Robbin Chavis Magers of Newark, Gerald T. and Angela K. Magers of St. Louisville, Shaun and Donna Magers, Brian A. and Kathy Magers, Timothy and Melinda Magers, all of Newark; daughters and sons-in-law, Dona and Don Dean of Newark, Mary M. Magers of Martinsburg; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Linda Zigan of Newark, Kenny and Carol Zigan of Cooperdale, FL, Tom and Vivian Zigan, Henry and Joann Zigan, Robert "Dink" Zigan, all of Heath; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Kevin Moore of Heath.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Fulk.
