Utica: A funeral service for Dorothy A Troyer, 85 of Utica, will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday April 14, 2014 at Law-Baker Funeral Home 34 North Main Street Utica, Ohio with Alan Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
Dorothy, passed April 9, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1929, in Utica to the late John D. and Ruth F. (Tewell) Brown.
She was a member of Utica United Methodist Church, 1947 Graduate of Utica High School, loved playing bingo and euchre, enjoyed watching the OSU Buckeyes, and sitting on her front porch on a sunny day. She was a volunteer for the Utica Blood Mobile and retired from the Utica Hometown Market.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, James and Barbara Troyer of Neenah, Wis., Steve Troyer and Jill Dowell of Granville, Jeff Troyer of Utica, daughters and sons-in-law, Sally Johnson of Mount Vernon, Charlotte and Vince Becker of Newark, Kim and Gregg Beaver of Mount Vernon, sisters and brother-in-law Kathryn Wonderling, Ruth and Don McClelland, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Troyer, grandchildren JoSharon Johnson, Lori Claudio,Tracy Nieto, Susie Weber, Dawn DeVault, David Woodruff, Tom Woodruff Jr., Jennifer Donegan, Layla Heskett, Josias Troyer, India Troyer, Luke Troyer, Jeremy Ryan, Travis Kent, James Shipman, Ashley Shipman, Michael Beaver, Raymond Beaver, 33 great grandchildren, 8 great- great grandchildren and good friends Gini Howe and Virginia Ankrom.
Dorothy is preceded in death by Husband David J.Troyer who passed Feb. 9, 1999, son, Gregory Troyer, Great grandson, Mark Turner, brothers Robert Brown and Joe Brown, sisters Sara Edwards and Martha Jones, son-in-law Ralph Johnson.
Friends may call Sunday April 13, 2014 from 2-5p.m. at the funeral home.
