A funeral service for E. Rowena Ryan, 89, of Utica will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Utica Church of Christ, 115 Central Ave., Utica with Pastors Tim Carr and Doug Swan officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.

Rowena passed away on October 14, 2023 in Erwin, TN. She was born on June 9, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Luther F. and Margaret (Russell) Williams.

She was a dispatcher for the Utica Police Department and Utica EMS. She was also a bus driver for North Fork Schools.

She is survived by her children, Dwight (Annita) Ryan, Barbara (Roger) Nethers, David (Jeannie) Ryan and Patrick (Tracy) Ryan; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale (Debra) Williams.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Ryan; son, Michael Ryan; grandson, Kevin Ryan; brother, Arthur Williams; and sister, Sara L. Hensley.
