Eddie Nelson Wilkin, age 89, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Eddie was born on December 19, 1934, to the late Charlie and Eva (Burkholder) Wilkin, in Clay Township.

He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed farming. He served in the United States Army.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Nancy E. Wilkin; children, Darla (Tony) Wagner, Rae Jean (Dwight) Chenault, Rodger (Camille) Wilkin, Sherry (Caleb) Swick; grandchildren, Joe (Kayla) Wagner, Chad (Emily) Chenault, Mindy Chenault, Christopher Johnson, Chelsea Johnson, Ryan (Chelsie) Johnson, Michael, Caleb, Jonathan, Elijah, Elaina, Matthias Swick; great grandchildren, Caden, Colten and Casen Wagner, Tillman, Jovie Chenault, Victoria, Akira, Gabriel, Corbin Johnson; sister, Jeanne Bascomb.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lettie Ondrizek.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 12 – 2 PM at the Brucker Baker Funeral Home, where his service will immediately follow at 2 PM with Pastor Jeff Houghton and Caleb Swick officiating. Burial will take place in Eden Cemetery.
