Elnora "Darlene" Cunningham, 75, of Newark passed away September 27, 2016 at OSU Medical Center from complications related to Vasculitis. She was born in Alexandria, Ohio on March 3, 1941, to Carl V. Roberts and Betty M (Reed) Roberts.
Darlene was a retired employee of the Granville Tech Center. A member of the Newark Church of Christ, a graduate of Licking Valley High School in 1959. She enjoyed cooking for family and loved to garden. Darlene lived life to the fullest and enjoyed everything she did, making pies and quilts for family and friends. Darlene was an amazingly strong wonderful woman. She had many friends that she loved spending time with. Family meant the world to her, especially Christmas Eve celebrations that she would plan and cook all our favorite food. She will always be remembered for her wonderful heart felt hugs she gave.
She is survived by her life partner of 34 years, Howard L. Fuller, son, LeRoy Dean of Newark and daughter, Teresa Lynn (Brent) Harden of St Louisville; grandchildren, Joe (Jen) Cunningham of Utica, Tara (Jim) Cunningham and Levi Cunningham of Newark and two great-grandchildren: brother, Carl V (Kristie) Roberts ll; sisters, Marcie Colangelo and Tamer Hopper; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Hopper, sister, Misty (Hopper) VanPelt and step-father, Adrian Hopper.
A celebration of life will be held at Law-Baker Funeral Home in Utica at 10:00 am on Saturday October 1, 2016. Burial will follow in Harford Cemetery, Croton.
