Obituary

Ernald W. Shoults, 71, of Bladensburg passed away on June 24, 2023 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on December 17, 1951 in Mt. Vernon to the late Wilbur and Katherine (Hupp) Shoults.

Ernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra (DeVore) Shoults; children, Cassie (Chris) Calbert, Brian (Nichole) Shoults and Sarah (Ricky) Carson; grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin, Hunter and Caemlyn Calbert, Brandon, Lilliana and Gracyn Shoults, Zandria, Derek and Kolsen Carson; great-granddaughter, Arabella Shoults; siblings, Debbie (Bob) Buker, Dean (Sue) Shoults and Gary (Julie) Shoults; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wilbur (Shirley) Shoults, Gerald (Betty) Shoults, John Shoults, Ed Shoults and Gene Shoults; sisters, Bonnie (Cecil) Dailey, Shirley (Arthur Lee) Rine, Mary (Bob) Reed, Lucille (Gary) Hoberg and Rose Manning; two infant siblings, Ella Marie and Ricky Dallas.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5pm on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Martinsburg Activity Center, 122 W. Liberty St., Martinsburg.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Martinsburg Activity Center are appreciated.
