F. Jane McVay November 28, 1925-December 29, 2015 A funeral service for F. Jane McVay, 90 of Mount Vernon, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery, Utica. Friends may call 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Mrs. McVay passed away December 29, 2015 at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon. She was born November 28, 1925, in Puckerville, Ohio to the late Howard and Lela (Smith) Raines. Jane had been an active member of Morgan Grange. She had enjoyed a lifetime of farming with her husband. They both loved to travel all over the United States. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kristi McVay of Mount Vernon, daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Mae and Steve Chadwick of Mount Vernon, Sue Anne and John Bateman of Gambier, granddaughter, Emma Jane McVay, step-grandchildren, James Bateman, Ericka Warns, Kelly Chillis, Alyssa Cotsamire, brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and Ruth Raines of Homer, several step-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Herbert "Hub" McVay who passed away December 12, 2011; brothers, Keith and Ed Raines; sisters, Grace Sesser, Goldie McDaniel and Gertrude Raines.
