A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence "Flossie" E. Claprood, 89 of Sebring, FL, formerly of Utica, OH, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 66 Granville St., Newark with Father Thomas Kamau as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark.

Friends may call 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Florence "Flossie" passed away June 24, 2016 at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Sebring, FL. She was born June 2, 1927, in Detroit, MI to the late John and Emma A. (Schinske) Feldner.

Flossie was a member of St. Catherine, Sebring and former member of Church of the Nativity, Utica. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post #92, La Sertoma and former member of the Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard C. and Tami Claprood, Jr, John and Diane Claprood, Joseph E. and Pamela Claprood, Patrick M. and Brenda Claprood, Timothy A. and Trisha Claprood; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan L. and Dennis Bailey, Lois Ann and Michael Crane; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Smith.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard C. Claprood who passed away January 15, 2003; brother-in-law Robert L. Smith.
