Forrest Richard Davis, age 92, of Utica, Ohio, passed away peacefully with family at his side. He was in the care of Hospice of Central Ohio, Columbus, Ohio. Forrest "Forry" was born in Utica, Ohio to the Late Emer and Velma (Perkins) Davis.

Forry had a very accomplished military career. He was an Honor Guard for President Truman and was a tomb guard where he provided protection for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. He also led the inauguration parade of President Eisenhower. After his military career, Forry worked in a local factory (the Miller Company) until it closed. He then went to work and retired from General Electric in Worthington, Ohio. Forry has led many local parades as Sergeant of Arms and has performed many "21 gun" salutes at local cemeteries on Memorial Day to honor the veterans that have passed away.

Forry was a talented ball player in both baseball and softball. He was instrumental in the development of Miller Park in Utica, Ohio, along with friends and local businesses. He coached many local boys at Miller Park. Forry has had two hole-in-ones in golf to his credit. However, bowling was his favorite sport. He bowled weekly during league season for 51 years. He has bowled 29 perfect 300 games. He was a member of the Licking County Bowling Hall of Fame. Forry was also the co-owner of the 300 Sports Shop located in Utica. He was a member of the Jaycees, the Shriners, the Masons, and the American Legion. He earned the privilege of being chosen to be honored in the book The Outstanding Young Men of America in 1969. Forry was a member of the Church of Christ, Utica, Ohio.

Forry is survived by his special and loving lady friend, Margie Johnson; daughters, Anne Wells, Vanessa (Mike) Davis, and Laura Crouse; grandchildren, Stacy (Scott) Murray, Heather (Chad) Lee, Richard (Stephon) Bowman-Crouse, and Cyle (Abbey) Crouse; great-grandchildren, Nicholas (Becca) Zamarelli, Tripp Lee, Grace Lee, and Willow Crouse; siblings, Larry (Nancy) Davis, Sharon Griffith, Grace Arter, Linda Hall, and Susann Hull; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma McKee and Tekka Duncan; grandson, Christopher Crouse; great-granddaughter, Tylor Zamarelli.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Brucker Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St, Utica, Ohio 43080. A 10:30 a.m. funeral service will take place Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the Utica Church Of Christ, 115 N Central Ave, Utica, Ohio 43080, followed immediately by a private graveside service with military honors presented by the Licking County Veterans Alliance, Pastor Doug Swan officiating.

Forry was a loving, giving, and kind man that gave inspiration to others. He had many friends via The Coffee Club, bowling league, and being a patriarch of Utica. He was a wonderful father and dearly loved his family, both immediate and extended (the Johnson family). He is very loved and will be missed immensely. In the words of his grandson, Cyle, "He is the best man I know."
