A funeral service for Garnet F. Davis-Popham, 83, of Mt. Vernon will be held at 7pm on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave., Utica with Pastor Doug Swan officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1-3pm and 5-7pm on Monday prior to the service.  A private graveside service will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Garnet passed away on May 18, 2022 at her home.  She was born on March 2, 1939 in Newark to the late Lester and Mary (Childers) Hiles.

Garnet was a member of the Utica Church of Christ and Ohio Eastern Star.  She enjoyed planting and taking care of her flowers.  She was an excellent golfer and loved her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Dallas Popham, they would have been married 4 years on June 15; sisters, Barb (John) Rodeniser and Mary Ellen Barber; brother, Ed Hiles; step-children, Heidi (Todd) Burns and Eric (Sue) Popham; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard L. Davis; son, Steven L. Davis; brother, Joseph Hiles; sister, Millie Poland; sister-in-law, Pat Hiles; and brother-in-law, Wayne Barber.
