Gary M. Young, age 76, of Utica, passed away on July 12, 2024. Gary was born on June 19, 1948, to the late Robert and Mildred (Kirby) Young, in Mount Vernon.

He attended the Utica Presbyterian Church, a member of the Masonic Lodge #199 and the Eastern Star Glenwood Chapter 303 both of Bladensburg. Gary retired from Rockwell after 30 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, working on cars and playing cards. Gary was one of the best story tellers around.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Broceus); children, Peggy (Kevin) Dunlap, Michael (Sarah) Young; grandchildren, Hunter, Beau, Skylar, and Myra; sister-in-law, Marilyn Norris; and nephew, Randy Norris.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 10 - 11 AM, at the Utica Presbyterian Church. His service will immediately follow at 11 AM with Pastor Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will take place in Bladensburg Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Young.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Gary's memory to the Utica Presbyterian Church.
