Gene R. Marston

A private service will be held for Gene R. Marston, 79, of Utica. Mr. Marston passed away July 20, 2018 at his residence.

Gene was born September 19, 1938 in St. Louisville to the late Glenn G. and Bessie C. (Berger) Marston.

He was a member of Utica United Methodist Church, Utica Athletic Hall of Fame, UTK Club and Jaycees. He served in the National Guard from 1958-1961. Gene graduated from Utica High School in 1957 and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 37 years of service. He loved golfing, bowling and coaching Utica Little League Baseball.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol I. (Seavolt) Marston; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel (Lisa), Donald (Amber) and Mark (Lenae) Marston; grandchildren, Chandler, Conner, Lareese, Hannah, Logan, Mitchell, Hayley, Mack; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles (Shirley) Marston, Max (Betty) Marston; sister, Michelle Marston; sisters-in-law, Mary (James) McCann, Geraldine Marston; his constant canine companion, Missy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Wendell Marston; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Bill McCann; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dolores and Wayne Curtis.
