Genevieve L. Schooler

Utica - A funeral service for Genevieve L. Schooler, 97 of Utica, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Terry Holobaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Family and friends may call 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the funeral home.

Genevieve passed away December 13, 2014 at Heath Nursing Care Center. She was born September 5, 1917, in Licking County to the late Dave W. and Genevieve (Studer) Waters.

She was a member of Utica Presbyterian Church and loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Herbert Stevens of Walhonding, Virginia and Ronald Ritchey of Utica, Linda and David Shamell of Heath, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Jessica) Stevens of Fredericktown, Timothy (Kim) Stevens of Walhonding, James (Debra) Stevens of Walhonding, Brad (Kellie) Ritchey of Brunswick, David (Allison) Shamell of Pataskala, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, David F. Schooler who passed away December 23, 1997; sister, Mildred Geiser; brothers, Frank, Lawrence, Carl and Dave Waters, Jr.
