George E. Hewitt
A graveside service for George E. Hewitt, 79 of Martinsburg, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Jersey Cemetery with Pastor Ed Southerland officiating.
George died September 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 25, 1932, in Columbus to the late Albert and Rachel (Williamson) Hewitt.
George was a Korean War Army Veteran. He retired from The State Fire Academy, Reynoldsburg and was a Martinsburg Council member.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Beatrice O. (Brown) Hewitt of Martinsburg; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Teresa Fannin of San Antonio, TX, Tony and Trudy Hewitt of Rotunda, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Richard DeNune of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by four grandchildren and his sister, Elizabeth Ann Swope.
