Gloria Christina Runyon, 93, of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Middleton Assisted Living. She was born October 28, 1927 in Licking County to the late Ralph and Opal Bell (Melick) Parsons.

Gloria graduated from Johnstown High School class of 1945. She was a member of Appleton Methodist Church and retired from Northridge Local after more than 20 years as a bus driver. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her flowers, cooking, and competing in competitions at the Hartford Fair.

She was a great cook and could do anything she set her mind to. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her four children, Arlene "Dee" (Lowell) Rhodeback, Dean (Nancy) Runyon, Debbie Runyon, and Dennis (Mary) Runyon; grandchildren, Darcie Rhodeback, Jamey (Lacy) Runyon, Rob (Annette) Runyon, Angie (Darrin) White, Jason Dague, Dedra (Steve) Kidwell, Jenny Moats, and Theresa (Mike) Holobaugh; 18 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jim Runyon; grandchildren, Renata Rhodeback and Kyle Rhodeback; one sister, Beverly Evans; and one brother, Neil Parsons.

Visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2021 from 11-1PM at the Liberty UMC where the funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bryan Moore officiating. Burial will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery.
