Hazel Faye Mays

A graveside service for Hazel Faye Mays, 65, of Utica, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Green Hill cemetery in Johnstown.  Family will receive friends from 10 to 12 p.m. Monday, prior to the graveside service at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.

Faye passed away June 24, 2021, at her residence.  She was born March 10, 1956, in Columbus, to the late Ronald and Betty (McNeal) Clendenin.

Faye was a retired processing manager from aMAYSing Meats. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all whose lives she knew and touched. She loved traveling with her husband and brother and playing games on her phone/computer.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Otis Mays, Jr.; children, Betty Blevins of Johnstown; Ernie (Tracy) Mays of Mt. Vernon, and Billie Mays of Johnstown; siblings, Twila Bass of WV, Ronnie (Becky) Clendenin of WV, Patty Clendenin of WV, and Bill (Nancy) Clendenin of Shade; grandchildren, Chelsea, Zowii, Austin, Courtney, and Briar; great-grandchild, Paisley, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Clendenin.
