July 10, 1922 - June 14, 2016
Helen D. Hawkins passed away on June 14, 2016 at Country Club Rehabilitation Campus, Mt. Vernon, OH, following a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1922 in Sandusky, OH to Emil and Caroline (Reef) Ruthsatz. She was 93 years old and had been a long time resident of Fredericktown, OH. For many years, She worked at the Greggs Lamp Company in Fredericktown. For the past 10 years, she lived in Utica, OH.
A private family celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
She is survived by a son, Richard (Kathy DeVries) Hawkins of Chicago, IL; daughter, Ann Evans of Utica; 10 grandchildren, Kris (Matthew) McManaway, Brian (Kari) Ansel, Nichole (Dave) Gray, Troy (Whitney) Ansel, Erik (Shawn) Hawkins, Ryan Hawkins, Lindsay (Carl) Everett, Jason (Jonas Nahm) DeVries, Cassity (Damon) Baker and Brandi Evans; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Percy G. Hawkins, and eight brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Victory Church of Christ, 12470 Upper Fredericktown Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH 43050.
