Helen M. Kreager

Newark - A graveside service for Helen M. Kreager, 93 of Newark, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Spring Grove Cemetery, Newark with Rev. Ron Hall officiating.

Friends may call 4-8 pm., Friday, November 6, 2015 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Mrs. Kreager passed away on November 3, 2015 at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehab., Newark. She was born August 16, 1922, in Newark to the late Willard O. and Ada M. (BeMiller) Davis.

Helen was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Union Church and their Ladies Aid Society. She was a member of Madison Grange, Licking County Pomona and Ohio State Grange. Helen and her late husband were Deputies of Licking County Grange. She was employed by North Fork Schools and Denison University at Curtis Hall.

She enjoyed traveling with her late husband to Canada and Florida to fish and enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's events and/or activities. She attended and camped at Hartford Fair for over 40 years to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in 4-H activities.

She is survived by her two children, daughter, Joann (Stephen) Torrens of Utica and son, Russell Kreager of Lacanto, FL; and daughter-in-law, Donna Kreager of Newark; six grandchildren, Andrew Torrens of Utica, Paul Torrens of Columbus, Stephanie (Larry) Green of Utica, Konnie (Tom) Warth of Newark, Stacy (Jodi) Kreager of Mount Vernon, Eugene Kreager of Heath; fourteen great-grandchildren, Zachary (Lindsay) Torrens of Newark, Jacob (Madalyn) Torrens of Virginia, David (Taylor) Torrens, Seth Torrens, Carlie Torrens, Bella Torrens, Daniel, Stephen and Ashley Green all of Utica, Quinten Nelson of Newark, Kamden and Kellia Kreager both of Heath, Bryce Kreager and Cody Kreager both of Mt Vernon; two great-great-grandchildren, Baileigh Torrens of St. Louisville and Dennis Torrens of Utica and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell F. Kreager who passed away December 22, 2004; brothers, Charles, Ralph, Herbert, Clyde, Glenn and Bobby.

The family would like to thank everyone at Kindred Transitional Care of Newark for their excellent care and Hospice of Central Ohio for their assistance.
