A funeral service for Jack J. Higgins, 79 of Gambier, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Roger Crego officiating.

Friends may call 1:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the funeral home.

Jack passed away November 13, 2018 at Country Court Nursing Home, Mt. Vernon. He was born August 11, 1939 in Centerburg to the late Harley "Jake" and Imogene E. (Cooksey) Higgins .

He is survived by his son, Jon Higgins of Mt. Vernon; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy (Rodney) Harris of Frazeysburg, Wendy Smith of Cable, Teri (Keith) Page of Sunbury, Tami (Keith) Ruhl of Mt. Vernon, Shamra Ann Johnson of Columbus; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and George Randolph of Morehaven, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Ted and Jed Higgins who passed away May 20, 2011 and May 24, 2011 respectively.
