A funeral service for Jackson "Jack" E. Cannon, 91, of Hebron will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance will follow at Wilson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-1pm prior to the service.
Jack passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2022 at his residence. He was born on May 18, 1931 in Saltillo to the late Stanley F. and Katura E. (Ansel) Cannon.
Jack served honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW Post 9473. He was a retired truck driver for J.B. Hunt and B&L Motor Freight.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirlie (Remley) Cannon; son, Andy (Jennifer) Yerian; daughters, Laurie (Nick) Garno and Jackie (Bobby) Cannon-Weaver; 8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Curtis) Fraley; sister-in-law, Peggy (Don) Ryan; brother-in-law, Richard Remley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Sarah Riley, Jim Cannon and Pauline Clark; nephews, Mickey Cannon, Andy Riley and Jeff Gieseck.
